Hopkinsville-Christian County Counts!
The Hopkinsville-Christian County Community Vision Plan is partnering with the League of Women Voters and Christian County Clerk’s Office to launch Hopkinsville-Christian County Counts! The partnership recognizes that voter participation is a significant component of a progressive and vibrant community. Our desire is to encourage citizens to be involved in this year’s election process as we elect leaders that represent our growing vision for the community.
The Hopkinsville-Christian County Counts voter registration effort will run March 30-April 6th with a goal of 500 newly registered voters. With support from businesses, organizations, and churches, citizens who desire to register will be able to do so at over 25 locations throughout the community from March 30-April 6th. A complete listing of the locations can be found by clicking on the link below.
Individuals can register year round at the Christian County Clerk’s office. However, individuals must be registered by April 21st to vote in the May 20th primary.
Individuals with questions about voter registration can contact Ms. Melinda Humphries of the Christian County Clerk’s office at 270-887-4107. Individuals with questions about this voter registration effort can contact Mr. Carter Hendricks at 270-885-9096 or Ms. Carolyn Self with the League of Women Voters at 270-887-3522.
In partnership with the Hopkinsville Young Professionals, the Hopkinsville-Christian County Community Vision Plan is launching an effort to identify potential Boomernagers. Boomerangers, ages 21-35, are college students, recent college graduates, and young professionals who no longer live in Hopkinsville-Christian County, but may have interest in staying informed about and returning to the community.
