June 2008 brought about the retirement of Carolyn Balthrop and Bev Thomson - two citizens of Hopkinsville-Christian County who have spent many years of  dedication and service to the community.     

Carolyn retired as District Manager for the Office of Employment and Training with 28 years of service.  Bev Thomson retired as Coordinator of the Christian County Adult Education Program after 22 years.

Both Carolyn and Bev were awarded Kentucky Colonels, the highest honor awarded by the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
